Day 2

Dressed for work

9:10am: I am a block from work and think I've successfully evaded comments when a man calls "Hey, gorgeous" from the passenger seat of a truck. He smiles as I roll my eyes.

Dressed for a date. I wanted to look sexy: 90% for me, 10% for my date, 0% for strange men in cars/ on the street.

9:22PM: I pass a group of men: two smaller groups of three or four each. One points to my headphones, which I am wearing so that I can't hear strangers' comments. My music drowns out one inaudible comment, but as the song ends I hear, "Damn, girl, look at you." I walk away before catching his friend's comment.

9:24PM: Moments later, as I look up from chronicling the previous interaction on my phone to cross the street, a man walking in the other direction tries to high five me. I leave him hanging.

9:26PM: Two more minutes and only a handful of blocks have passed. A car honks twice because I didn't look up the first time. Two men wave.

My date walks me home. Accompanied by a (muscular/ dreamy) man, I receive 0 comments no matter how many people (groups of guys) I pass. I guess it's clear I am already "claimed?"
